MakSol cooker is the first of the kind
solar-induction cooking technology we collavoratively worked
on with Makerere University ... to bring into existance....
This was made possible with support from the government of
Uganda through Makerere University Research and Innovation
Fund (MakRIF) and STI-OP Science Technology and Innovation
Secretariat - Office of the President (STI-OP) This is a
low-voltage solar-powered electric induction cooker invented
in Uganda in a collaborative effort by Makerere University
and IntelliSys Uganda, with funding from the Government of
Uganda.

This novel innovation has tremendous potential to
transform cooking in sub-Saharan Africa where
carbon-emitting fuels still dominate kitchens and emit over
